Approved BACS Bureau

A BACS Bureau must adhere to certain standards prior to gaining approval. Bureaus are inspected tri annually by BACS (now known as Voca Ltd) to ensure best practices and standards are maintained.

A BACS Bureau replaces the requirement to purchase software, train staff, maintain systems and implement security procedures. PSL charges less than the cost of processing in-house whilst at the same time improving efficiency with leading edge systems and accuracy.

PSL is one of the UK’s largest, fully Accredited Commercial BACS Bureaus, authorised to provide a full range of Direct Debit processing, including AUDDIS (automated), Paperless and Paper Mandate debits.

Whether you have gained sponsorship from your bank or not we have an appropriate service:

Corporate Service - Customer’s with their own BACS User Number (OIN), or those that have Bank approval for sponsorship.

PSL Sponsored Service - Customer’s without Bank sponsorship at this point in time.

Our Automated and Paperless Direct Debit service enables you to open up lucrative ‘customer not present’ sales channels via call centres or the internet.  The efficiency of processing Paper Mandate Direct Debit Instructions from customers transacting by mail, is meanwhile increased through the elimination of DDI failures by bank account and sort code checking.

This is complimented by a comprehensive Direct Credit service. This increases efficiency and reduces overhead by enabling one-off or regular payments of salaries, dividends, refunds or prize monies, to be made direct to nominated UK bank accounts.
