A Merchant ID (MID) must be gained from a bank in order to process in your own right. If you do not have one contact your relationship manager at the Bank and request it.

If you are unable to obtain a MID please make contact with us as we may be able to assist obtaining one, or we can provide a service through our partner company.

The MID is then submitted to PSL along with Bank details, the cardholder narrative (description to be shown on your customers card statement), plus any customer services phone number to be shown on the card statement. PSL set up what is known as a ‘Terminal ID’ enabling us to send transactions to your bank.

At the same time we supply implementation documentation for the service you require:

Online private circuit
Batch
Online pdq

Once implementation is completed testing can begin, for which we supply a test script containing test card data to be used for submission, plus associated testing notes.

Once a successful test is completed, PSL provide live account details for processing to commence.
