Recurring Transactions

In order to process, merchants require a recurring transaction merchant ID sometimes known as a CA (continuous authority) merchant ID.  This allows customers to send PSL regular transactions for processing. The amount and frequency of charging can vary. It’s suited to various environments such as publishing, subscriptions, and instalments.

The recurring transaction process varies dependant upon which bank is used. For example Lloyds cardnet request that the first transaction is made using a standard merchant ID with all subsequent using the recurring merchant ID, whilst all others request that all transactions including the first are processed on the recurring merchant ID.

Once the first transaction is processed by PSL, we return a cross-reference unique to each card. All subsequent charges are processed by supplying this cross-reference to PSL. All card details are stored on PSL's secure servers relieving customers of the majority of PCI DSS security requirements.

All types of recurring payments, e.g. subscription and instalments can be processed.  These payments can be processed daily, weekly, monthly, 4 weekly, quarterly or annually.

Eliminate your security liability by storing card data on PSL servers.
