BACSTEL-IP has made contingency planning even more critical as payment processing will not be accepted from a source unknown by BACS. They recommend that any organisation processing Direct Debits has a contingency plan in place in case of disaster.

If you're operating a Direct Debit service in-house, you can 'link' your OIN/SUN to our Direct Debit Bureau (B08032): simply instruct your bank's BACS Liaison department.

Many organisations have linked to SmartDebit and we can help you to continue Direct Debit processing seamlessly - even throughout an emergency.
